Re-Introduction: All About Me!

Hello again! My previous introduction was months ago, and well, needless to say it wasn't the best.
So, let's try this again!

My name is Jacqueline Jenkins, a 16 year-old junior in high school who's researching film in the AICE Media Studies course at my school. I've taken 6 AICE classes already and intend on completing this course (along with AICE Psychology) this year, so I can graduate with the Cambridge Diploma.

I have an intense passion for the arts. I am a musician at heart, who has spent over a decade sharpening my skills on the piano and as a singer. I also love drawing and writing fiction, and I bake in my free time.

I also recently got into photography, and as you can see, I still have a long way to go, which is why I came to this course!
I have more examples of my work. These are just ones I'm most proud of at the moment!

In terms of my media consumption, I started off being obsessed with animated films and shows broadcasted on television or in theaters, like Gravity Falls, Coraline, The Owl House, Kubo and the Two Strings, Tangled, Steven Universe, and The Legend of Vox Machina (just to name a few). I also spent a fair amount of time on YouTube, watching a variety of fan-animations inspired by my favorite book series, Warrior Cats. The insane quality of these amateur animations, from the scenery and music to the clever color palettes and intense fight scenes, motivated me to attempt to create my own.

These are a couple of my favorite inspirations:

My media consumption widened to a plethora of streaming services (including Netflix, HBO Max, and Amazon Prime) and to social media platforms like Snapchat and Instagram, which gave me appreciation for photography and film with real-life people and actors.

I hope throughout the second semester of this course, I'll be able to learn even more than I have already about film production as I continue work on my new film! I've learned that time management is of the utmost importance with this kind of task, and I must take great care to focus during this planning period.
